Transition

Page history last edited by Crystal Dyess-Carroll 6 years, 3 months ago

My name is Crystal Dyess-Carroll. I have created this site to show the importance of cognitive development and the effects that poverty can have on children. Not only does poverty effect cognitive development but other environmental factors can have a great impact as well.

Children who are faced with cognitive delays need a voice, someone who speaks out for them. As an avid advocate I am here to speak out and help families and guardians of children with disabilities; to be of help in the early intervention transition process as well as the transitioning from high school into adulthood. You are not alone, your child is not alone. There are supports out there that can help beyond your child's adolescence to young adulthood years.

Working together through school, family, and community is my passion in networking to obtain valid support services that will ensure the success of your child thriving as a well defined individual in society. It is transition that is a continuing process in every individual's life. With each other it makes it an easier process that we don't have to go through alone.
